I put the whole cardamom pods in. Not sure if you're supposed to just put the seeds in?
Put everything but the nutmeg in a frying pan over a medium-high heat and cook until the spices smoke, becoming fragrant and turning dark, shaking the pan constantly. Takes about 5 minutes.
Stir in the nutmeg then remove from the heat and allow to cool.
Grind finely in mortar and pestle. Store in an airtight container.
