Days Without EndThe story of impoverished immigrants to America joining the army and being roped into the wars against the Indians. They survive the horrors and the dehumanising experience and rescue the daughter of a chief from being murdered by vengeful troopers. They grow to love the girl but then the Civil War threatens to destroy their newfound desire for a peaceful life. They also have to manage their gay relationship in the face of predujice and fear.

Really good. Great characters, lots of action and a cool story. Obviously I have no idea really but seemed historically entirely plausible too. Just been longlisted for Booker, I am ahead of the game, woohoo go me.
