Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar ChildrenA young American boy is thought to be a little crazy when he describes the strange creature that he saw kill his grandfather in the woods. But it turns out that grandfather used to attend The Home for Peculiar Children, and so the boy and his dad go on a visit to the Home (in Wales) where the boy discovers he can get through the timeslip and visit the school and its strange pupils.

Started off very well, and I thought it might be another 'Holes', but then it descended into a simple fantasy story.
