The Mirror BookCharlotte has achieved success as an author, emerging from within her literary family (her father is the famous poet and writer CK Stead, "Karl"). However a crisis in her personal life leads her to start questioning how her upbringing and family influences might have had a negative effect on her. She describes and analyses many incidents from her youth, undergoes therapy and counselling and basically concludes her parents were pretty crap.

So interesting! Beautifully written, and seems such a well balanced account. What a childhood though! Great fun to read all the Auckland references.
