Sorrow and Bliss
Martha has grown up with an eccentric family including an arty, non-maternal mother and a strange aunt, uncle and cousins. But Martha has always thought there is something wrong with her, and suffers debilitating periods of depression and anxiety at various times in her life. She has always said she doesn't want kids, and marries Patrick (childhood friend of cousins) with that fact clearly stated. But the marriage starts to unravel and Martha grows to hate Patrick - does she really know what she wants?
Quite good, funny in places, mainly the bits where the sister is struggling with her ever-growing brood of children. The whole set up seemed a bit artificial though - some unlikely characters in each family perhaps.
