Disgrace
David Laurie, Professor at Capetown University, has an affair with one of his students, and has to leave when the scandal comes out. He goes to live with his daughter Lucy who just about scrapes a living on her small-holding. Relations between father and daughter are never great, but get worse after the farm is attacked and Lucy is raped by three blacks.
Not bad, but I couldn't really see why it won the Booker Prize.
