Daughter of Fortune
Feisty young Chilean American woman falls in love with impoverished local poetic dreamer boy who promptly goes off to California in search of gold. She follows, meeting Chinese doctor friend along the way, who is grieving for his dead young wife.
Jolly good - pressie from Bong Nat. Learned lots about the gold rush and prostitution.
