Books - Review

Set in Ireland, a young woman has an affair with a married man, a handsome actor. But it is complicated as young woman was in a lesbian relationship with another young woman who not only remains her best friend but also befriends the wife of the handsome actor. Also both young women are writers/performers of poetry and very intellectual. Lots of angst, bit of self-harm.

OK, none of the characters likeable really. Bit bleak.

Two young school leavers, loners, outsiders blah blah get together, fall in love, then on-off for the next few years blah blah. Can't remember how it ends.

Quite good I suppose, I recall thinking the characters were both likeable and believable. Don't recall much else though.
