 | Ballet Shoes | The story of Pauline, Petrova and Posy, all separately adopted by Great-Uncle Matthew, who delivers them to his niece, but then disappears on a long sea voyage, leaving only a finite amount of money for them all to live on. Sylvia takes on the role of the children's guardian, and struggles to make ends meet, but the children are lucky enough to end up at Madame Fidolia's dance academy, where they are able to realise their ambitions of acting and dancing, and also bring in some welcome additional income from their stage (and ultimately) film roles. Petrova however, would rather work in a garage. | Great little story, beautifully written. Molly loved it too. |
