The Power
Women everywhere develop the ability to deliver a jolt of electrical power through their bodies at will. This has an impact on the male/female power balance and society changes, crumbles and chaos ensues.
Jolly good. Am writing this way after reading it so cannot remember too much detail.

The Future
Set slightly in the future, Martha and Lai both have an interest in prepping for disaster-scenario survival, but fall madly in love when they meet at a conference. Martha goes on to attempt to save the world from eco-disaster by manipulating the four most powerful tech CEOs on the planet, but at some cost to her relationship with Lai.
Great story, clever and funny and horribly relevant. The golden rule: If you don't like it when something happens to you, don't do that to other people.
