The Van Laar family are wealthy and run a summer camp in the woods in the Adirondack woods in New York state. Isolated in the forest the local community rallies round when Barbara, the Van Laar daughter who is attending summer camp disappears. Could it have something to do with the previous disappearance of a Van Laar family member years before?
