| I Capture the Castle | Cassandra and Rose are two teenage sisters living with their father (a once-famous author now suffering with writers block) and step-mother, Topaz, a dreamy, alternative artist's model. Cassandra, the younger sister, is an aspiring author and tells us her family's story through her diary and notebooks. Also her hopes, dreams and romantic aspirations. Above all she hopes the family can stay on in their (rented) castle, in spite of the arrival of the estate's new American owners. |

Very enjoyable. Quite Jane Austen-ish in tone, although managing to sound modern too.
