Books - Review

The Storied Life of A.J. FikryAJ Fikry runs a bookshop in a small slightly isolated community on an island, accessible only by ferry. His wife died some time ago and his most valuable book, which was going to be his pension, was recently stolen. Then one day a 2-year old baby is left on his doorstep and he ends up adopting her, and also realises that he quite likes the publisher's rep who visits regularly from the mainland. Anyway it's really about books and the joys of reading.

Really good. Nice gentle read, great characters, interesting story and lots of references to books, some of which I have even read! Great recommendation from Dad.
