Blood River | Tim is a journalist who has always been fascinated by Stanley's journey along the Congo River, so he decides to have a go himself. Everyone advises him not to, mainly because of the various rebel groups hiding out in the jungle who can make life difficult. But he goes anyway, and meets some interesting people along the way. Also some stuff about Stanley and other Victorian explorers/exploiters. | |

Good story, lots of emphasis on how Congo has taken several big steps backwards in terms of development.
