In the Heart of the SeaTrue story of the whaling ship Essex and her crew, who get sunk by a sperm whale and have to survive months in open boats. Lots of good background info too on the inhabitants of Nantucket island and life in a whaling community in the early 1800's.

Very good - all very interesting and plenty of whale blubber and cannibalism.

Just re-read this one (January 2016) and thoroughly enjoyed it this time round, I would give it 8 or even 8.5! Beautifully told historical dramatic story, with plenty of details on the whaling industry.
