![]() | Love in the Time of Cholera | Fermina and Floretino fall in love, but Fermina's father takes her away and she changes her mind, comes back and ends up marrying Dr Urbino. Marriage goes OK, at least until the Dr has an affair. Anyway, he dies in the end, falling off a ladder trying to retrieve a missing parrot, leaving the way clear for Florentino to try his luck again. Everyone's aged about 80 by now. |

Well, this was a bit of a struggle to finish, but I did really want to see if Florentino got his girl in the end. I couldn't quite believe in anyone, or even anywhere.
