Sally Jones is an ape of the sub-species Gorilla gorilla graueri. She is a trained ship's engineer and when her great friend and shipmate is falsely imprisoned for murder she goes to some lengths to try and uncover the truth and set her friend free. Along the way she makes some fabulous friends but also some terrible enemies.

Great book, absolutely cracking story and beautifully told. Sally Jones is a wonderful character!
