The history of seven interactions of humans with the natural world, Edward is in search of a harvest process that does not exploit the resource/environment. He discusses, amongst others, the collection of eiderdown by Icelandic farmers, edible birds' nests and sea silk.

Quite interesting, but got a bit repetitive with his philosophy.
