Sarah's account of her battle with a bizarre form of Guillain-Barre Syndrome, which she first suffered in her teens, but (unusually) it then recurred several times. She relates the details of the many procedures she has to undergo, such as cleaning her blood, having lines put in and so on.

Beautifully written (she is a poet normally), she appears to be a brave and practical person, in the face of frightening episodes of illness. Quite inspiring.
