When Breath Becomes Air
Paul has trained for ten years to be a neurosurgeon and is about to embark on what he hopes will be the most challenging and rewarding period of his career when he learns he has an advanced cancer. This is the memoir he then decides to write, following the progression of his disease to the end of his life.
Very moving and sad. He has a wife and baby too. But uplifting too - he made the most of his life and was amazingly brave.
