 | An Astronaut's Guide to Life on Earth | An autobiographical account of the Colonel's career, as pilot, test-pilot and astronaut. Some riveting descriptions of what it is like to go into space, combined with a whole lot of philosophy on what it takes to be a modern astronaut, which includes; working hard, not being arrogant, maximising your chances (mainly by working hard), being a team player, and, of course, working hard. | This was a pretty good read, with a good balance of action and astro-life-philosophy, and he managed to push his philosophy without sounding too smug about it. |
