The true history of the ship The Wager, sent to the South Atlantic on a secret mission in 1740, whose occupants were shipwrecked. Survivors arrived in Brazil on a ramshackle raft 2 years later telling stories of their astonishing survival. But then some more castaways turn up with a different story of mutiny and murder.

Excellent. Great story brilliantly told.
