Books - Review

Weird religious father keeps his family largely locked up and the kids get abused. Girl A escapes, the father commits suicide and the mother is imprisoned. The siblings are then all farmed out to different foster parents. Years later Girl A, now a successful lawyer returns to pick up the pieces with her siblings as she becomes executor of her mother's will.

Very good, great twist too.

Isabel and Edward, youngish, married, are at home one night when their home is invaded by a serial killer. They survive the trauma, but their marriage later falls apart. They meet years later at the killer's trial and sentencing.

Great story, wasn't quite sure at first but it really grabbed me as it went on. Read this on hols in Australia, finishing it at Hawk's Nest.
